  • If there are not enough students to make the trip possible, all cheques will be returned.
  • Once the trip has been confirmed (i.e. a minimum of 15 students have enrolled and paid their deposit): any students enrolling beyond this point will pay Explorica directly (including the deposit).

  • Explorica offers a monthly payment plan in equal instalments.
  • Payments are taken from a credit card or a chequing account.
  • Payments are taken once per month until 60 days prior to the trip's departure date.
  • Other options: manual plan: pay $195 at sign-up, $600 within 30 days of sign up, and the rest is due no later than 99 days prior to departure (approx. December 2011). Payments are done via mailing cheques, or online via your student's Explorica account.
  • You are free to make as many separate payments as you like between the 30 days after enrolment and the 99 days prior to departure.
Cost

Approximately $3,465.00 (or approx. $155 per month on the monthly payment plan if enrolled by April 2010).

This figure will be discussed at our first meeting.

Okay! I want to sign up! How do I do that?

  • You will have your chance to sign up at the first meeting we have for the 2012 trip.
  • To sign up anytime after the first meeting, click on the link that says "Trip Application". Fill out both forms, and bring them to Ms. Keith with your cheque for $195.00.

Well, what can I do between now and then?

  • You can discuss with your parents or guardians the different aspects of this trip such as:
    • How will I pay for this trip?
    • Should I get a summer or an after school job?
    • Are there any forms or documents I need to have permission to leave the country (i.e. custody arrangements, etc.)?
    • Getting a passport: if you are 15 or younger, now's the time to do it! Passports are much cheaper for those 15 or under. Passports are valid for 5 years, so getting one now for 2012 is fine. For more info, click here to visit the Canadian government's passport website.
    • If you already have a passport: your passport must be valid for 6 months after the trip is over (October 2012). If your passport expires before then, you can now renew your passport instead of reapplying! Again, for more info, click here to visit the Canadian government's passport website.
